My husband, son and I just got back from a 3-day, 2-night trip to Malacca. It was a short trip, but it gave us enough time to check out the historical city at our own pace. The A Famosa is a fort that the Portuguese built in the 16th century. All that's left of it today is the Porta de Santiago, a small gate house.
