Selamat Hari Merdeka to all my fellow Malaysians! The family woke up early this morning, to watch the National Day Parade on TV, and Amir loved it. After breakfast and some house cleaning, I helped Amir make some slime for the very first time!
Check out the ooze! You can find out how to make your own slime after the jump :)
Here's the "ingredients," you'll need borax, glue, food colouring, water, some containers and spoons. That's it!
First, mix 1/2 tablespoon of borax with some water.
Then, mix your glue with some water.
Add a drop or two of food colouring into your glue mixture. I only had red on hand.
Mix the borax mixture with the glue mixture with a spoon and you've got slime!
Get rid of the excess water and have fun!
At first, the slime will feel really sticky, but after a while it will become less gooey.
Experiment with your slime. We made lots of different shapes with it.
We even made slime balls.
And bounced them! We also pretended that the slime was an alien organism.
After you've finished playing with your slime, you can keep it in an airtight container.
Note: The slime will get everywhere and will stick to clothes and upholstery, so do be careful. It's water soluble though, so washing up will be easy. If the slime dries out a little just add some water.
