Today, a bunch of my girlfriends and I had lunch at Sagano, a Japanese restaurant at Renaissance hotel, KL. We took advantage of an offer at Groupon and paid RM81 each. Check out our ladies' lunch!
Here's the entrance of the restaurant. It took us a while to find it, as it's quite tucked away!
When you enter, you'll find yourself on this pathway to the dining area.
Here's the main dining area. There's lots of natural light due to the large windows. The good thing is, we sat by the window but didn't feel like we were baking in the sun.
Here's where we sat!
The food is served in 3 separate rooms. Here are the appetisers, sushi and sashimi.
Check out those scrumptious slices of yummy sashimi! We went back for the salmon a number of times! They topped it up pronto, so kudos to them for that.
Check it out! Sushi galore!
Here's their selection of sukiyaki and tempura.
They also served a variety of fried rice and vegetables.
The soup bar. Miso Shiru!!! It was yum!
Last, but not least, dessert! But, actually, some of us had grabbed a few desert items first, because it looked so AMAZING!
See that big pile of salmon sashimi on the right? As you can see, there's also a large heap of wakame on my plate! The first thing I grabbed, however, was that fine-looking dessert on the left!
They had a generous selection of dessert items, but I gravitated towards the mochi and green tea ice cream. In the foreground is pineapple tempura with cinnamon sugar.
Green tea ice cream with some madeleines.
A serene corner in the restaurant.
What are these? Anyway, they're cool!
The lunch was good, the company was great and I really look forward to doing this again with the girls :)

Looks like pretty good value for a Japanese spread like that one.
Definitely worth it, especially if you go on an empty tummy!!!
is it halal?
Hi thanks for your question, when we purchased the Groupon, we noted that it is a Halal restaurant :) But please do call them and double check if you like.
Thanks for the Review, after reading we decided to go yesterday for my son birthday!
