In a recent parenting article for Venusbuzz, I talk about how preschool children seem to have better English than primary school children in Malaysia. I thought I was the only one who felt this way, until I read that the Deputy Prime Minister/Education Minister had noticed it too. My son's preschool teachers have also revealed that most parents complain that their children seem to lose their English skills when they go to primary level. Why does this happen? What can we do about it?
