Making slime :)

Selamat Hari Merdeka to all my fellow Malaysians! The family woke up early this morning, to watch the National Day Parade on TV, and Amir loved it. After breakfast and some house cleaning, I helped Amir make some slime for the very first time!

Review: More room features @ The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya

In my earlier blog post on our first stay at The Everly Putrajaya, I focused on the main features of the room we stayed in. However, since I had the opportunity to stay there again during the festive season, I thought I'd show you a bit more of our room and the hotel environs.

Let's start with the coffee/tea making facilities. Note the drawer that hides a sejadah!

They've prepared Aik Cheong coffee and Boh tea - kudos to the hotel for offering Malaysian brands :)

Review: Fuze Restaurant @ The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya

Hi everyone! You may remember my review of The Everly Putrajaya not too  long ago. Well, we enjoyed our stay so much, that we decided to spend some time there, over the festive holidays. Actually, soon after posting my first review of the hotel, I sent them an email, just to let them know that I appreciated my stay there.

To my utter surprise, Mr Dennis Tan, the owner of The Everly Group, personally replied to my email! He also very kindly offered to treat my family and I to a complimentary dinner during our second stay. Isn't that wonderful?! Allow me to rave about my experience... and please bear with me, this is going to be a loooong post.

I love talking about food, but before we get to that, let's afford ourselves some time to take in our surroundings, shall we? Let's start at the beginning, that is... at the entrance to Fuze Restaurant. We came down to have dinner after Maghrib, at around 8.00 pm.

The restaurant interior is huge, and as you can see, there's lots of sleek lines and surfaces. The walls are in neutral grays and beiges, while the carpet and dining chairs anchor the room with a pop of colour.

Buka puasa @ Vistana Hotel, KL

My husband and I got together with a bunch of friends for buka puasa last week. We didn't want to spend a bomb, so we chose Vistana Hotel, KL :)

Here's a view of the front of the hotel from across the street.

Vistana serves its buka puasa spread on 2 levels - at their restaurant on the ground floor and around the pool area on level 3. We made reservations a day ahead for a table for 10 and got a spot at the banquet hall next to the pool. Good news is, its near the surau too.

Welcome 2019: Time to Grow

Happy New Year everyone! I'm so so excited for 2019 and everything that it'll bring. I'm starting the year with gratefulness for...
